Profiel van Tulip Computers
Tulip Computers n.v. (Tulip Computers) is een Europese ICT leverancier van een compleet productportfolio bestaande uit producten waaronder desktop computers, servers, notebooks, tablet pc’s en communicatie- en connectivity producten. Indien gewenst ontwikkelt Tulip Computers deze producten zelf of in nauwe samenwerking met andere partijen en integreert zij deze in totaaloplossingen voor de (zakelijke) ICT gebruiker in Europa (Technical Integrator & Solutions Provider).
Tulip Computers is opgericht in 1979. Het aandeel Tulip Computers is sinds 1984 genoteerd op de officiële markt van de Amsterdamse effectenbeurs (Euronext Amsterdam n.v.).
Het hoofdkantoor van Tulip Computers en 2L International b.v. is gevestigd in Amersfoort (Nederland).
Tulip Distribution International Holding b.v. te ’s-Hertogenbosch (TDIH), een niet aan Tulip Computers gelieerde partij, en haar dochters (Benelux, Frankrijk, Verenigd Koninkrijk en Italië) treden op als distributeur en exclusief licentienemer van Tulip voor de corresponderende markten. Daarnaast heeft Tulip Computers rechtstreeks samenwerkingsverbanden met distributeurs in landen waar zij geen eigen verkoopkantoor heeft.
Tulip Computers biedt oplossingen voor ICT gerelateerde vraagstukken. Daarbij staan functionaliteit en flexibiliteit centraal. Binnen het productportfolio worden de volgende productlijnen onderscheiden:

Tulip
Onder de merknaam Tulip®‚ wordt een complete productlijn van notebooks, desktop computers en servers aangeboden voor de zakelijke, Europees georiënteerde markt. Deze worden veelal verkocht via licentienemers. Voor specifieke (verticale) marktsegmenten worden tevens producten ontwikkeld en aangeboden waaronder de Medical PC.

Conceptronic
Conceptronic®‚ omvat een breed scala aan producten, gericht op zowel de zakelijke gebruiker als op de particuliere consument. Het productprogramma omvat zowel multimedia-, mobility- alsmede communicatieproducten. De Conceptronic producten worden aangeboden binnen geheel Europa.
Een beperkter productgamma wordt daarnaast in de Benelux aangeboden onder de merknaam Dynalink ®.

PaceBlade
Onder de naam PaceBlade®‚ worden tablet pc’s en aanverwante producten door 2L International b.v. aangeboden. Bij deze productlijn ligt de nadruk op Total Business Solutions, welke in nauwe samenwerking met strategische partners wordt aangeboden.

NewLevel.nl
Een belangrijk onderdeel van de totaaloplossing die Tulip Computers haar klanten aanbiedt bestaat uit training & consultancy. Tulip Computers beschikt middels NewLevel.nl b.v. Educenter over een eigen opleidingsinstituut voor IT rofessionals. Deze biedt specialistische hardware- en netwerktrainingen aan voor onder andere Microsoft, Novell, Cisco en GTS certificeringen. Daarnaast leidt NewLevel.nl trainers op en biedt zij (technische) consultancy voor bedrijven. De diensten van NewLevel.nl worden geleverd vanuit
het trainingscentrum in Hedel, bij de klant aan huis, op een andere locatie, of via het internet middels computer supported trainingen en online trainers.

Tulip Shared Services BV (TSS)
Officially starting beginning 2006 a new working company is introduced under the Tulip Computers Holding. The new company is called Tulip Shared Services. Till then service activities in general were part of the respective operating companies and integrated in each working process for the whole working company. Services is a business process of its own and therefore it has been decided to separate these activities from the different operating companies and start a new working company to combine a number of service and support processes in a broad sense of the word.
The mission of Shared Services is to act as a (independant) company that performs various transactions for operating companies of Tulip Computers Holding, rather than having those transactions conducted in every working company.

Shared Services will be associated with "support" services such as :
- Warehousing (for 2L International (Conceptronic) and Sapphire Holding Spain, 2L Mobility Solutions (PaceBlade)
- Information Solutions (ICT) with services like advising in ICT possibilities, Network management, Application management, Information management,
- Service (Help) Desk for all operating companies including ICT and Facilities
- Service Support Engineering and Assembly (Technical & Administration) (for 2L International (Conceptronic, Dynalink) and Sapphire Holding Spain, 2L Mobility Solutions (PaceBlade), Tulip and Topline)
- Facilities (such as property management), Reception, Catering for Tulip Headquarters. Service like Facilities, Reception and Catering is a service by Tulip Shared Services performed for Tulip, 2L International and 2L Mobility Solutions. It is negotiable in a later stadium if service like Facilities, Reception and Catering is a service by Tulip Shared Services to be performed for all operating companies.

In short any function that is essential to the day to day running of a business is related to Shared Services. Activities like finance, human resources, or payroll are not related and stay within the current concept.
