Ik kwam dit tegen in de nieuwsbrief van The Copenhage Institute for Future Studies. Het geeft een goed beeld van de huidige tijd:
Modern Man exists in an inferno of consumption and activities, impressions and expressions, roles and relations, and that may be the reason why more and more people dream of living the simple and beautiful life in pure surroundings. But aesthetics is not just about external beauty. It is also about beauty within. Hence we also daydream about cleansing our thoughts and emotions and getting rid of doubts, fancies, and guilt.
